A week ago Sunday, Owen turned 8 months old. I took the pictures in this post last Monday to try and capture him at this time..... and then I haven't had a chance to post them until now. So it goes some weeks. :)
At eight months, Owen loves any food he can pick up himself. He's never been a fan of being fed but his approach works for us. He'll happily eat whatever we eat so long as he can feed himself. He's also becoming a better sleeper at night.... so long as he sleeps with Mommy! He still likes to nap in his rock n play sleeper even though he's getting too big for it and he LOVES swimming and bath time.
When I asked Chris to describe Owen at 8 months he said, "Giggles and smiles. So curious!"

In these pictures, Colin is "teaching" Owen how to crawl by encouraging him to come after the basket (totally Colin's idea). In fact, it was during these pictures that Owen did take what I'd officially call his first crawl. It was fun to watch the two of them interact.
Having older brothers is such a part of Owen's experience. He watches them, laughs at them, learns from them and now he can also take their toys! Since I took these pictures a week ago, Owen has become a full fledged crawler.
