My mother in law Patty has been teaching me how to can this summer.
Today we canned 50 lbs of peaches!
I am exhausted!
I'm also so grateful that she's taking the time to teach me canning because I don't think I would have had the confidence to try it on my own. Patty is a great canner and an excellent teacher! She grew up in North Dakota and as a little girl watched (and helped) her mother (who I knew as Granny) can everything.
I must say there's something very satisfying about hearing those jars "pop" when they seal!
